Quilt #10: Jelly Roll Jam

I’ve got another slew of quilts ready to share this weekend and throughout the next couple of weeks, and tons to share after Christmas gifts have been given 😉

For Quilt #10 I used a free pattern from Fat Quarter Shop called Jelly Roll Jam, and several cuts of stash fabric that felt “vintage girly” – if that makes sense. From the fabric, I cut my own jelly roll strips (3.5″ x length of fabric).

I quilted the piece in a diamond pattern, and bound it with a lime green edge.JellyRollJam3

For the backing, I used a large cut of a vintage sheet that I found for sale on Instagram. I love, love, love using vintage sheets to back my quilts for two main reasons. 1) the fabric doesn’t have to be pieced, so it’s a time saver; and 2) they’re so stinkin’ soft! They add just the right amount of cuddle.

I love how this quilt turned out – it would be perfect for a baby shower gift or for a little girl. Currently, this one isn’t claimed – nor was it made for anyone in particular. In fact, I’m thinking about listing it on etsy – but, we’ll see. 🙂

If you’re keeping count, that’s 9 quilts blogged and 17 to go! Happy Quilting!
