Quilt #6: Peanuts for a Peanut

I’m excited to say I can finally share my next quilt, a giant vintage star quilt. My good friend, Amy, just had the most adorable baby boy, whose nursery is decked out in Peanuts. And while I’ve had this quilt finished for a while now, I wanted to wait and share it here after I was able to deliver it to her.PeanutQuiltTopThis quilt top was super fast to piece together, which is great when you’re trying to finish 26 quilts in a year. In fact, if I remember correctly, the day I made this quilt top, I was able to make two other quilt tops.

PeanutQuiltBackFor the back, I ran a strip of Snoopy themed fabric along the bottom 1/3rd, and used a black confetti print for the background. I bound the entire quilt in a bright yellow bias tape.

My points aren’t quite perfect, but I’m pleased with how close they came. My seams may not be the straightest, but all this quilting is definitely helping my sewing skills.PeanutQuiltLabelThis is also the first quilt that’s been fitted with my snazzy new labels. (I’m hoping to back label most of the others, but the 2 that went to Ecuador may prove to be a challenge…)

Regardless, Amy loved the quilt, and I know it will get many years of happy use.

Bringing the count to 6 down and 20 to go. Happy Quilting!
